The Parque Natural de la Sierra y Cañones de Guara covers 47,453 hectares; its peripheral protection zone covers a further 33,286 hectares, and its elevation ranges from 430 to 2,077 metres. Nature

Trails and history

The Monte Irazo position on the Ruta Orwell can be reached via a path that begins on the A-129 road between Leciñena and Alcubierre at kilometre 34.6.

The Camino de Montserrat, also known as the Camino Catalán, crosses Aragón towards Huesca, where it joins the traditional route to Santiago de Compostela.

The Frente de los Monegros route is Aragón's first route of democratic memory.

On the Frente de los Monegros route, visitors can explore trenches, pillboxes, bunkers and parapets mentioned by Orwell in his work „Homage to Catalonia“.

The Descenso de Nabatas por el Río Cinca takes place every year on the penultimate Sunday in May.
