Bisaurri offers access to cultural and landscape-related themes. Anyone gathering different focal points for a trip can consider specific sites, routes and traditional customs side by side.

Culture

At Cueva dels Trocs, up to six superimposed Neolithic settlement floors, along with their associated hearths, have been documented.

The Cova dels Trocs Interpretation Centre in San Feliu de Veri contains a fully accessible 80 m² exhibition space. Using exact replicas and audiovisual technology, it presents details that would be invisible during a conventional visit to the dark cave.

Cueva dels Trocs has been enclosed for its protection.

Bisaurri itself also contains notable examples of regional architectural and art history. The house “El Siñó” in Bisaurri is an example of traditional Ribagorza architecture.

The parish church of Renanué in the municipality of Bisaurri dates from the 12th century and is considered an example of Romanesque art in the region.

Bisaurri also preserves an intangible cultural heritage connected with its festival calendar and an oral tradition, extending across the municipal districts of Arasanz, Urmella, Rins, Gabás and Renanué.

Nature

The PR-HU 89 route connects Castejón de Sos, Bisaurri, Urmella and Arasán. Its course places several locations within a shared route network.

The BTT route 27 Selvaplana leads into the Selvaplana area on the northern side of the Turbón massif.

There are four peaks in the surroundings of Bisaurri: Pico Baciero, Tuca de Urmella, Tuqueta de la Arca Morus and Pico Gallinero.

The different connections to places and landscapes offered by the two routes can be considered separately when planning your own trip.

When planning your trip, you can weigh nature and cultural themes separately and then combine your own focal points. Cycling and hiking can be considered different forms of activity; historic sites, regional architecture and traditional customs can stand alongside one another as additional focal points. The order you choose is left to your personal travel plan.
