Serradúy: Holiday Apartment, Romanesque Chapel and Isábena

Serradúy lies on a rocky promontory on the Isábena, where the river forms a slight constriction, and below the Sierra de Sis.

When looking for a holiday apartment in Serradúy, you can compare travel dates, room categories and cancellation policies on the respective offer pages. In addition, for your planning you can note whether the focus should be on the river landscape, mountain scenery, Romanesque buildings, castles and the ruin, or the September date. Offer details and local interests remain separate from one another.

Culture

Serraduy's cultural heritage includes the Romanesque chapel of La Vileta. The Puente de Serraduy is a Romanesque stone bridge over the rocky, constricted riverbed of the Isábena. At the entrance to the village, it has two semicircular arches and a relieving opening in the abutment on the left bank of the river.

Serraduy's narrow, cobbled streets connect to the old Church of San Martín. Below a limestone rock of the Sierra de Sis lies the Ermita de la Feixa near La Vileta de Serraduy; from there, it can be reached via a track approximately two kilometres long. The Capilla de San Lorenzo is located along the continuation of the path across the bridge on the right bank of the Isábena.

When preparing on your own, you can record specific details and spatial relationships separately. What matters is not a ranking, but which thread first focuses your attention. Different interests can stand alongside one another. Good preparation does not have to place these perspectives in a fixed order. You can first collect individual names, then add spatial levels, or proceed the other way around.

The A-1605 road runs alongside the Puente de Serraduy and provides access to Serraduy, La Vileta and Riguala.

In Serraduy, the feast in honour of the Virgen de Feja is held on 8 September.

Landscape

The peaks of Tosal del Sis and Amariedo are located in the immediate surroundings of Serraduy. The mountain of Morrón de Güel and the peak of el Turbón are also located in the vicinity of Serraduy.

In the wider regional area around Serraduy are the castles of Castell de Viacamp, Castell de Fals and Castell de Girbeta, as well as the Mont-rebei ruin.

The names and categories can be kept as separate notes: landscape, buildings, route connections and the fixed September date each represent a separate focus. In this way, the different scales remain visible without requiring you to derive an evaluation from them.

The track approximately two kilometres long and the cultural destinations in the wider regional area represent different spatial scales. You can organise these levels separately in your planning.

Other places that you can access from this page are Roda De Isábena, Estada, Castillazuelo, Canfranc, Agüero, Colungo, Villanúa and Gerbe.
