The Iglesia Parroquial de Fonz was built between 1606 and 1617 in the Renaissance style. Inside is a Gothic winged altarpiece dedicated to Saint Anne, created at the workshop of Pedro García de Banabarre at the end of the 15th century. On the first weekend of June, Fonz hosts the Feria del Renacimiento with a handicraft market, historical reenactments and various performances.

Culture

The Casa-Ayuntamiento de Fonz and its surroundings on the Plaza Mayor were declared a national historical-artistic monument in 1976. Also on the Plaza Mayor is the fortified palace of the Gómez de Alba family, which is attached to the de la Forza arch. The Fuente de los Seis Caños on this square was built from stone in the 16th century.

The Centro de Interpretación del Renacimiento is located in the former bishop's palace of Fonz. The defensive line along the Cinca included defensive positions built in Fonz, including a gun emplacement for an artillery battery with four cannons. Thus, religious architecture, local history and the military past stand side by side, each with its own historical points of reference.

Unusual places are also part of Fonz's character. The Ojo de la Fuente runs beneath the shade of a centuries-old holm oak. Inside is a stone vault from which water emerges in large surges. The Pozo del Chelo is a stone-built ice house with a diameter of 4 metres and a height of 10 metres. Ice was stored there all year round.

The Oficina de Turismo de Fonz offers guided tours of the town. These include the Centro de Interpretación del Renacimiento, the Renaissance church, the Fuente d'Abaix and the Palacio de los Barones de Valdeolivos. As part of the restoration, the Palacio de los Barones de Valdeolivos was equipped with a lift connecting all floors. A wheelchair-accessible toilet and the necessary ramps were also added.

When comparing a holiday apartment in Fonz, travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions can be checked side by side on the respective offer pages. These three details provide an objective basis for comparison when making a specific booking decision. Anyone considering a holiday apartment in Fonz as part of their travel plans can examine these details separately. They describe the formal terms of the offer, while the local information independently leads to the Renaissance church, palaces, fountains, guided tours and the Ruta de los Palacios. This keeps accommodation details and the local programme clearly separate.

Another destination in the selection is Cofita. Other destination pages are Apiés, Ligüerre De Ara, Plasencia del Monte, Bolea, Canfranc, Ballobar and Jabierre De Olsón.

The Ruta de los Palacios runs through the streets of Fonz and includes, among other places, the Centro de Interpretación del Renacimiento, the parish church and the Fuente de los Caños. Unlike a single stop, the route names several points of interest and connects them along the town's streets. Its content can therefore be understood as a thematic sequence in which religious architectural history, the Renaissance and historical water supply stand side by side.
