The tower of San Pedro de Lárrede Church has a square ground plan, and its design is influenced by Arab minarets. During your visit, you can explore the area through its architectural forms, exhibition and trails as separate points of focus.
Culture
The Centro de Interpretación de las Iglesias de Serrablo is located in the former forge of the village of Lárrede, near San Pedro Church. The permanent exhibition in Lárrede features a map of the Ruta de las Iglesias de Serrablo, a group of around a dozen churches built on the left bank of the Río Gállego in the 10th and 11th centuries.
Casa Isábal has an L-shaped ground plan with a large rectangular main section and a smaller wing. In Casa Isábal, the salon on the second upper floor and the courtyard have pebble floors with geometric patterns.
Hiking
The official second stage of the GR 16 from Biescas to Yebra de Basa passes through Lárrede, between Susín and Satué. On the climb to Lárrede, the GR 16 passes La Torraza and then descends to the village. For planning purposes, you can consider the stage and the climb as separate trail sections.
Nature
From Lárrede, the GR 16 continues south, crosses the road after a few metres and follows the path to Liena Caxicar and its impressive oak grove. The Torre del Moro towers over the Río Gállego valley. You can treat nature and the route itself as a separate focus alongside culture and the exhibition.
When comparing holiday apartments in Lárrede, you can compare travel dates, room category and cancellation policies. This allows you to align the desired framework for your stay with the town’s cultural and landscape features as well as your own plans for the days you spend there. When choosing accommodation in Lárrede, you can also distinguish whether the focus of your days is on the architectural forms and exhibition content or on the GR 16 trail sections described above. The travel dates define the time frame; room category and cancellation policies remain separate points of comparison. This leaves different questions side by side for your own planning: Which content would you like to see, which trails interest you and which conditions suit your travel dates?
Other destinations: Roda De Isábena, Apiés, Fonz, Aguascaldas, Sipán, Sallent De Gállego, Tierrantona, Abizanda.
