Culture and history
Jaén Cathedral is considered a masterpiece by Andrés de Vandelvira and one of the most significant Renaissance works in Andalusia.
The Arab Baths were built in the 11th century beneath the Villardompardo Palace. They cover 450 square metres and are considered to be probably the largest visitable complex of their kind in Spain.
The Alcázar Nuevo of Castillo de Santa Catalina, built after the Christian conquest of 1246, preserves its original masonry enclosure with six towers.
