Culture

The Centro de Interpretación de la Cerámica “JARDÍN DEL ALFARERO” presents the pottery tradition of the city of Andújar from the Bronze Age to the present day. The exhibition includes more than 200 ceramic pieces. The Museo Profesor Sotomayor provides an insight into the archaeology and history of the municipality.

The Museo Arqueológico Profesor Sotomayor is housed in the Palacio Niños de Don Gome. It displays significant pieces from the Iberian, Roman and Visigothic cultures that shaped the area’s historical heritage. The pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Cabeza has been celebrated on the last Sunday in April since the first half of the 13th century.
