Tradition

The Beekeeping Museum in Radovljica has conveyed the heritage of Slovenian beekeeping since 1959. The Lectar Workshop provides another link between regional craftsmanship and culinary heritage: historical tools, old equipment for baking and decorating, and gingerbread products several decades old are displayed there. The workshop organises workshops for larger and smaller groups on making traditional gingerbread hearts.

The annual Chocolate Festival is also part of the town's events calendar. It takes place every year in April over three days and offers tastings as well as an accompanying programme. The interactive family experience „Follow a bee through Radovljica“ explores the world of bees through educational and creative tasks. The Magušar House presents the pottery tradition of the Gorenjska region.

Radovljica is also part of a longer route: The fourth stage of the Juliana Trail leads from Begunje na Gorenjskem through Radovljica to Bled.
