The folklore group of KUD Triglav Srednja Vas preserves the folk heritage through singing, dancing and instrumental music. The Baroque Parish Church of St. Martin in Srednja vas stands on medieval foundations and was already mentioned in sources from the end of the 15th century. It has a choir and an organ made by Johann Gottfried Kunst in 1830; the choir and organ were extensively restored in 2002.

Every summer, St. Martin’s Church in Srednja vas hosts the music festival Glasbeno poletje v Bohinju. The traditional Vaški večeri Pod lipo in Srednja vas also follow a regular schedule: they take place every Monday in July and August at 8:30 p.m. During these evenings, folklore groups, singers, musicians and dancers perform; homemade food and drinks are also offered.

Nature

The Bohinj section of the Juliana Trail passes through Srednja vas on its way to Stara Fužina. The route follows well-marked trails, forest roads and mountain paths and can be completed in stages throughout the year. From Srednja vas, marked hiking trails lead to the Uskovnica Alpine Hut in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Above Srednja vas, the Ribnica River has carved out a gorge with numerous waterfalls.
