Timiș County offers cultural and historical tourism, spa and health tourism, recreational tourism, and sports tourism. A specific combination of landscape and exercise is the cycle path along the Bega Canal: it leads from Timișoara outside the city to the Serbian border and is 37 kilometres long.

Culture and History
The rectangular Neolithic sanctuary of Parța is approximately 6,200 years old and divided into two rooms. It contains a double statue with a female figure and a figure with a realistically modelled bull's head.
The Traian Vuia Museum displays a model of the Vuia I aircraft. The Cula Ciacova is a military tower belonging to the former fortress of Ciacova and dates from the 14th century.
Charlottenburg is Romania's only circular village and is designated a historic monument. The regularly planned circular village has an inner circle diameter of approximately 210 metres. In the western settlements of Timiș County, German colonists have shaped the architecture of the houses, the culture, and folk traditions.
In the municipality of Șag, Timișeni Monastery is described as a tourist attraction near a forest and the Timiș River. Timișeni Șag Monastery is a convent, was founded in 1944, and has outbuildings for weaving and icon-painting workshops. Mercy Carani Castle was built in 1733 and 1734 and is designated a historic monument.
Nature and Landscape
The Satchinez Marshes form an ornithological nature reserve covering an area of 242 hectares. The current protected area covers 194 hectares. More than 53 percent of the bird species found in Romania live in the Satchinez Marshes.
Bazoș Dendrological Park covers 60 hectares and contains more than 1,100 tree species from all continents. The park has been designated a protected area since 1994.
At 460 hectares, Lacul Surduc is the largest lake in Timiș County. Fishing and recreation are possible at Lacul Surduc.
Regional Cuisine and Wine
“Mic Dejun la Margina” is a rural tourism experience based on the village tradition of welcoming guests at a laid table. Local cheeses, eggs, honey, fruit spreads, bread baked on the stove, and traditional dumplings are offered.
Banat Brunch presents gastronomic culture in authentic rural households and uses fresh ingredients from gardens, orchards, or local producers. The events include interactive workshops, hikes or guided tours, as well as markets held by producers and craftspeople.
The Drumul Vinului includes tastings, vineyard tours, and visits to local producers. The Recaș vineyards are documented in a medieval charter dated 11 November 1447.
Health and Recreation
Buziaș offers treatments with carbonated mineral water, CO₂ mofettes, and aeroionisation. The Buziaș Colonnade is a 500-metre-long wooden structure in the Byzantine style.
The treatment centre in Băile Călacea offers physiotherapy, electrotherapy, laser therapy, paraffin packs, diadynamic therapy, massages, and light baths. The recreational area of Băile Călacea includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool with thermal water and sports fields.
