Cochem: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
Cochem Imperial Castle has a thousand-year history. It stands on a steep hill more than 100 meters above the Moselle. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Cochem can continue their accommodation search afterwards.
Cochem’s historic center preserves sections of the town wall and defensive fortifications, including Enderttor, Balduinstor, and Martinstor. The Capuchin monastery, built around 1630, now serves as Cochem’s cultural center.
Public guided tours of Cochem Imperial Castle are offered in German and English; free translation texts are available in 12 languages. During interior tours, the castle rooms include, among others, the Knights’ Hall, the Hunting Room, and the private chamber.
The Bundesbank Bunker Cochem is a documentation center that can be explored on a one-hour guided tour. Since the Bundesbank Bunker has no parking on site, the BunkerShuttle can be used from Endertplatz.

Pinnerkreuz is a viewpoint on Pinnerberg with views over the Moselle Valley. The viewpoint can be reached by the Cochem chairlift; a vineyard path also leads uphill to Pinnerkreuz.
The Cochem Knights’ Round has a route variant of approximately 8 kilometers. A route description also lists a 36.36-kilometer Moselle cycle route between Zell (Moselle) and Cochem as moderately difficult; Cochem railway station is listed there as an access point by public transport.
