A historic walking route in Ellenz includes St. Martin’s Parish Church, the 1541 town hall of the former Universitas de Ellenze, and the St. Sebastianus Chapel dating from 1624.
Trails and Landscape
Ellenz-Poltersdorf and its surroundings feature a hilly landscape that is ideal for hiking. There are numerous well-developed cycle paths around Ellenz-Poltersdorf, making it possible to explore almost the entire Moselle by bicycle. In addition, around 300 kilometres of well-developed cycle paths run along the Moselle, most of them directly beside the river.
The Moselkrampen Adventure Trail connects Ellenz-Poltersdorf with Ernst, Bruttig-Fankel and Beilstein. The route leads through vineyards, fallow land, forests and small Moselle villages. The 15-kilometre route features themed and information panels, and is signposted throughout.
The Lauschpunkte audio tour along the Moselle Cycle Route comprises 40 listening stations along a 240-kilometre route from Perl to Koblenz.
Water and Outdoor Pool
Poltersdorf has a landing stage for rowers. There is also a water-skiing course on the Moselle near Poltersdorf.
The Ellenz-Poltersdorf outdoor pool is family-friendly. The pool’s sunbathing lawn overlooks the surrounding vineyards, Metternich Castle ruins and Beilstein on the other side of the Moselle.
Culinary Delights
A manufactory produces traditional vineyard peach jam from red vineyard peaches that it grows and harvests itself. Culinary options in Ellenz-Poltersdorf include Moselle-style dishes and old vaulted cellars filled with wine barrels.

The Ellenz-Poltersdorf Moselle Ferry bus stop is located on the 18th stage of the Moselsteig Trail and is served by bus route 711. Ellenz-Poltersdorf has more than 40 accommodation providers, including hotels, guesthouses and private rooms.
