The historic centre of Ediger-Eller is home to former monastery and aristocratic estates. Eller is home to St Roch's Chapel, a Romanesque chapel with a Gothic choir dating from around 1500. Its interior contains an Ecce Homo fresco based on an engraving by Martin Schongauer. The House of Psalms is a former synagogue and Jewish school building; its preserved genizah is described as significant for the Moselle region. Cultural events are held there today.

Trails and Landscape

The hiking trails in Ediger-Eller include a circular route through the vineyards between Ediger and Eller, a trail through the Taubengrün nature reserve to the Bruder-Heinrich hermitage, the Calmont via ferrata, and trails through the Pehr Valley, the Brochemer Valley and the Reisental Valley.

Stage 17 of the Moselsteig Trail crosses cultivated vineyards and offers varied views across the Moselle Valley. Stage 16 runs between Neef and Ediger-Eller, crosses the Bremmer Calmont and reaches a viewing platform with far-reaching views. Paragliding launches take place near the summit cross of the Calmont above the steep vineyards.

Ediger-Eller station is served by the RB 81 railway line. The centre of Ediger on the banks of the Moselle has a tourist information office and a bus stop; a connecting path leads there from the Ediger-Eller station area.

Wine and Cuisine

The distilleries in Ediger-Eller produce fruit brandies and liqueurs. Rustic wine taverns serve hearty vintners' dishes with Moselle wine. Regional menus feature red vineyard peaches. Local wineries invite visitors to wine tastings and visits to rustic vaulted cellars.
