Lourmarin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Château de Lourmarin is open daily for visits. Conferences, exhibitions and concerts take place there throughout the year. There is also a fun treasure hunt for young visitors and families.

Other historic buildings include the Church of Saint-André et Saint-Trophime, an 11th-century building that combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The Protestant Temple of Lourmarin was built between 1806 and 1816 and is the largest Protestant temple in the Vaucluse department.

The public fountain on Lourmarin’s square was classified as a historic monument in 1914. The Beffroi, also known as Le Castellas, was built on the remains of a small seigneurial fortification probably dating from the 11th century; the site has been classified since 1942.

Markets and Events

The evening producers’ market in Lourmarin offers cheese, wine, bread, eggs, aromatic plants, seasonal vegetables and fruit, lamb, oysters, honey and cut flowers. In 2026, the Marché de Lourmarin takes place year-round on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and offers clothing, fabrics and a wide range of handcrafted products in addition to food.

The Marché des producteurs de Lourmarin takes place at the Fruitière Numérique in Lourmarin on Tuesdays from 5 to 8 p.m., starting on Tuesday, 14 April.

The Yeah! Festival has taken place since 2013 at the beginning of June, from Friday to Sunday during the day in Lourmarin and in the evenings on the château’s terraces.

Things to Do

The challenging Combe des Cavaliers et Pelat de Buoux circular hike is 36.4 kilometres long and starts in Lourmarin. The hiking route begins and ends at the Parking de Pierrouret car park in Lourmarin; the car park at the northern entrance to the village is recommended as the parking location.

For cyclists, cycle route no. 25 passes through Lourmarin, Cadenet, Lauris and Puget as a 33-kilometre, moderately difficult circular route.
