Vedène: Holiday apartments and houses
Culture
Vedène’s cultural life includes L’Autre Scène, which presents theatre, dance and music as part of the Opéra Grand Avignon programme. Vedène is also home to the Chapelle Sainte-Anne, a religious heritage site dating from the early 17th century.
Historical traces can also be found at the Tour de l’Horloge: the gate with its belfry dates from the 14th century and was rebuilt in the 18th century. The Lavoir communal now serves as a meeting place and venue for exhibitions on art and culture, and also houses a Point Info Tourisme. The quiz “Le trésor volé de Vedène” uses this washhouse for a playful exploration of Vedène’s history.
The Usine de Beauport, a former madder-powder factory, is considered one of the last surviving testimonies to the globally significant madder industry of the 19th century. It is partly listed as a Monument historique and partly classified as a Monument historique; the corresponding protection decisions date from 8 July 2011 and 20 January 2015.
Experiences
The annual “Chocolat & Vins” fair occupies L’Autre Scène for three days. The programme includes demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions and the sale of chocolate specialities. From May to September, Vedène’s food trucks gather at Place du Petit Pont from 6 to 11 p.m. for a seasonal event with music, a DJ and karaoke.
In Parc Municipal Bardi, a fitness trail follows a winding path with various exercise stations. The park also includes play areas with swings, slides, a zip line and a climbing net. Along the banks of the Canal de Vaucluse, it can be explored via rest areas with deckchairs.

Wivisites offers self-guided explorations of the local heritage in Vedène with engaging audio content accessible directly on a smartphone; no app needs to be downloaded.
Golf Grand Avignon has a 60-hectare, 18-hole golf course surrounded by five lakes.
