The Île de l’Oiselay in Sorgues is part of the Natura 2000 network. The island has hiking and cycling trails with information boards about environmental protection.
The Passerelle de la Voie des Papes provides access on foot or by bicycle to the Île de l’Oiselay and the Via Rhôna; at the same time, it connects Sorgues city centre and the city park with the Voie des Papes.

Culture and History
Construction work on the Château Saint Hubert and the adjoining gardens, on a site of more than 50 hectares, began on 22 October 1782. The façade and roofing of the Château Saint Hubert have been protected as historic monuments since 28 October 1949.
Every year on 18 August, a memorial ceremony is held at Sorgues railway station to commemorate the arrival of more than 700 people deported for resistance activities after a 17-kilometre forced march on 18 August 1944. The “Train Fantôme” was reconstructed on these platforms.
The Pôle culturel Camille Claudel offers a programme of music, dance, exhibitions and cinema. In July, it hosts the touring performance presented by the Festival d’Avignon.
The Pont des Arméniers was built between 1925 and 1926 as a single-span, semi-rigid suspension bridge with a span of 157.50 metres.

The Marché de Sorgues is a Provençal market in Sorgues city centre, held every Sunday morning throughout the year. It offers fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants, food, manufactured goods and textiles all year round.
