Bonnieux: apartments and holiday homes

The Jardin de la Louve in Bonnieux bears the French “Jardin remarquable” label. The Provençal garden covers 1,600 m² and is laid out across two or three terraces. From May to October, it is open to visitors on Thursdays by appointment.

Culture

The Église Haute, also known as the Vieille Église, can be reached via a staircase with 86 steps shaded by centuries-old cedars. Bonnieux also retains the remains of towers and fortification walls dating from the 13th century.

The Pont Julien was built along the Via Domitia and probably dates from the period between 27 BC and 14 AD. In 2026, it is freely accessible every day year-round in Bonnieux.

In 2023, the Fondation Blachère moved into Bonnieux’s former railway station. At this former railway station, it organises solo and group exhibitions.

The Musée de la Boulangerie traces the history of technologies related to wheat, milling, flour production and bread baking through agricultural and craft tools and equipment. A rich collection of iconography from the 17th century to the present day illustrates the life of the guilds there.

Nature

A few kilometres south of Bonnieux lies the Forêt des Cèdres. It covers around 250 hectares and is characterised by Atlas cedars on the ridge of the Petit Luberon.

Wine and crafts

Borélis – Cave de Bonnieux is considered the oldest cooperative winery in the Vaucluse département. On site, visitors can taste wines from the AOC Luberon and AOC Ventoux appellations.
