Sablet has nine towers and a fortification wall enclosing the village, which were completed around the year 1500.

Culture and History
The Chapelle Saint-Roch is dedicated to one of the patron saints of the village of Sablet. The inhabitants built the Chapelle Saint-Nazaire out of gratitude to the saint who, according to tradition, is said to have saved them from the great plague of 1720.
Every year on the third weekend of July, Sablet hosts the Journée du Livre. It includes themed conferences, exhibitions and book signings.
Wine and Market
Since 1974, Sablet has had the communal appellation Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet. The vineyard of this appellation is located entirely within the municipality of Sablet.
The Cave des Vignerons de Sablet – Le Gravillas offers a tasting area with panoramic views of the Cheval Long and Chemin de la Peste vineyards. Its own products from six appellations are offered there.
In the centre of Sablet, the Petit Marché du vendredi matin has around ten vendors. The range includes cured meats, meat, groceries, fruit and vegetables, handicrafts and clothing.
Nature and Trails
The Panorama Place des Barrys viewpoint offers views over the Rhône Valley.
The “La randonnée de Sablet par Terra Rando” hike starts in Sablet and follows an 8.7-kilometre circular route. It presents hardly any technical difficulties; the circuit runs mostly along quiet minor roads, includes a short section on a path and a crossing through a ford.

The themed Templar walk “L’énigme des Templiers” starts in Roaix and then leads, among other places, to Sablet.
