Valréas: The Château de Simiane hosts an exhibition all year round featuring around forty models created by Jean-Claude Vangierdegom. The models depict the most important architectural monuments of the Enclave des Papes and the Pays de Grignan.

Culture

The Château's Micro-Folie is an interactive digital museum where more than 4,000 works can be accessed via screens and virtual reality headsets. All year round, the Château de Simiane offers free exhibitions, concerts, events and tours of its special rooms.

The Musée du Cartonnage et de l’Imprimerie in Valréas, in the heart of the Enclave des Papes, traces the history of an industrial activity in the fields of cardboard manufacturing and printing, which has had a major influence on the area's economic, social and cultural identity.

The Eglise Notre-Dame de Nazareth is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. It features an Italian-style organ case from 1506.

Events

The Nuit du Petit Saint Jean is a historical re-enactment that has been celebrated since 1504. The Corso de la Lavande is a four-day festival in Valréas featuring parades of flower floats, concerts, the election of the Corso Queen, a fair, a flea market and a funfair.

The Salles d'Archéologie are open to the public in summer; during the rest of the year, they can be visited by appointment.

Townscape

The Tour Ripert is a square tower 17 metres high, with sides measuring approximately 7 metres. It is the keep of Château Ripert; the inhabitants of Valréas refer to it as a clock tower. The Tour Ripert offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape.
