Přehořov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In the centre of Přehořov, the complex of St. Anne’s Church and its cemetery occupies a prominent position. The complex includes a surrounding wall, two gates and four small chapels. The church was originally Early Baroque and was remodelled into its present form at the beginning of the 19th century.

History and culture

Written records of a small Jewish settlement in Přehořov date back to the beginning of the 17th century. During its first decades, the Jewish cemetery served Jews from Přehořov, Soběslav, Veselí and Zlukov. Two gravestones belonging to the same person, Lea (Elisabeth/Eleanora) Wimmer, have been preserved there. The Jewish cemetery is freely accessible.

A memorial plaque in Přehořov commemorates the local RAF pilot Jan Veselý and bears the silhouette of an aircraft. Přehořov had a memorial plaque installed in front of the municipal office. After numerous weavers had been trained there, the weaving trade flourished in Přehořov.

Landscape

The Dírenský stream flows through Přehořov. The remaining part of Přehořov’s chateau park lies in undulating terrain on the north-eastern edge of the village and dates from the first half of the 19th century. A second lime-tree avenue leads to Kvasejovice; it was planted in 1822. A niche chapel on the western edge of the village probably dates from the late 18th century.

Things to do and events

A yellow-marked hiking trail passes through Přehořov. The Přehořov Traktoriáda was held in several editions, including the second edition in 2022 and the fifth edition in 2025. It featured a competition for children, skill driving and off-road driving.
