Horky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Horky, tangible traces of the mining history can be found in the village and along the Stříbrná educational trail. In the eastern part of Horky is the Kryštof shaft, which was used mainly as a ventilation shaft and was 16 metres deep. It was constructed in 1764. In the built-up part of Horky, a spoil heap created by mining at the Barbora shaft is also visible. The Barbora shaft was 53 metres deep.

Culture and History

The Stříbrná educational trail runs along the Tábor-Horky-Větrovy route and commemorates the region’s long mining history. It is 3,500 metres long and has eight stations with information panels. It can be accessed from the Lužnice-Tábor side or from the Hýlačka-Větrovy side; it can be reached using Tábor public transport lines 30, 60 and 61.

Horky u Tábora railway station is located on line 202 between Tábor and Bechyně.

The Church of Svatá Anna is located in the immediate vicinity of Horky. In the surrounding area are Smrčí Hill and the mountain (K Doubravě) [Radenín-Bítov]. In the wider regional surroundings of Horky are Hora Hill, Ulčí vrch Hill and the Church of Svatý Jan.
