Drslavice: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Drslavice Fortress is a Gothic-Renaissance building in Drslavice in the Prachatice District. It consists of four distinct rectangular buildings arranged around a small courtyard and has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1958. Visits are possible by telephone appointment with the owner; there are currently no fixed opening hours.

Landscape and Nature

The ruins of Hus Castle stand on a steep rocky spur above the Blanice River on the slope of the 835 m-high Panský vrch. The “Na soutoku” educational trail is 3.4 km long and leads through a canyon-like section of the Blanice River and through the nature reserve of the same name. The Boubínský prales is a primeval fir-beech forest with a proportion of spruce trees.

Hiking and Cultural Route

The ruins of Hus Castle can be reached from Křišťanovický rybník near Křišťanovice via a blue-marked hiking trail of approximately 2 km. The “Krajem Mistra Jana Husa” cultural route leads directly through Drslavice; it is approximately 17 km long and has a moderate difficulty level.

Cycling and Views

The “Na kole krajem Mistra Jana Husa a kardinála Vlka” cycling route runs through Lažiště, Drslavice, and Záblatí and is 49 km long in total; its physical difficulty is moderate. The Libín lookout tower is a 27 m-high stone observation tower with 138 steps and year-round access.

Further Cultural Impressions

The nativity scene exhibition in Zábrdí featured more than 500 Czech and foreign nativity scenes; it was open all day and admission was free.
