Hradiště is situated in the picturesque landscape of the last foothills of the Šumava. Numerous small ponds give Hradiště a special charm. The village can be reached by bus.
Culture and history
Northwest of Hradiště lies the Celtic cult site Na šancích near Hradiště u Malovic. This remarkable prehistoric monument bears witness to the social and spiritual life of the prehistoric Celts. At the same time, it is a rare example of a quadrangular enclosure in the Czech Republic and is exceptionally well preserved. The rectangular layout measures 120 by 90 metres. The eastern rampart is the best preserved; it reaches a height of up to 1.2 metres.
The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands on the village green in Hradiště. It was built in 1899.

Hradiště u Malovic is a stop on the Historická krajina Netolicko route. The Historická krajina Netolicko cycling trail forms an approximately 50-kilometre circular route through the region’s sights and includes 16 stops with information boards in three languages.
