Culture and History

The Sklářské Museum in Lenóra is housed in the municipal office building. It preserves objects dating from approximately 1880 to 1980 and documents the production of a significant glassworks during more than a hundred years of its existence. In addition to visiting this museum, it is also possible to visit a small glassworks in Lenóra. The Rechle was built in 1870.

Local Traditions

Traditional baking in Lenóra’s community oven includes wheat–rye bread, bread rolls, garlic flatbreads and Dalamánky. Public bread-baking demonstrations usually take place from April to December on the last Saturday of each month; fresh baked goods are served for tasting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nature and Trails

The Řasnatá Vltava walking trail in Šumava National Park begins in Lenóra. It passes through the peatland near Vlčí Jámy, follows the Řasnice and returns through the forest to Lenóra.

Water and Activities

The paddling route on the Teplá Vltava can begin in Lenóra. Navigation on the Vltava section between Polka and Lenóra is not regulated. The Vltava near Lenóra offers opportunities for fishing for trout and grayling.

Getting Around

Lenóra is a starting point for trips to Boubín, and the Šumava Cycling Highway runs through Lenóra. In winter, Lenóra provides access to cross-country ski trails. Lenóra has rail and bus connections.
