Kristanov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the aurochs, European bison and American bison enclosure, visitors can use a wooden observation tower. From there, they can observe aurochs from a safe distance. The enclosure is also home to European bison, American bison, as well as stags and hinds.

Nature and Landscape

The project area of the Blanice NPP comprises the cadastral area of Křišťanov. Part of Křišťanov’s cultural landscape lies within the Šumava Protected Landscape Area.

History and Culture

The Church of the Name of the Lord Jesus in Křišťanov was built in 1798–1799. The Church of the Name of Jesus is a simple late Baroque building dating from the end of the 18th century. Křišťanov was founded near Prachatice in 1694.

Cycling and Hiking Trails

Cycling Route 1250 passes through Křišťanov. Cycling Route 1252 leads from the junction near Křišťanov via Arnoštov and along the Záhvozdský stream to Pernek.

From Prachatice, the footpath to Křišťanov follows a green-marked hiking trail; part of the route may run along the “Zlatá stezka” educational trail. By car, Křišťanov can be reached from Prachatice via approximately 20 km and from Volary via 15 km on Roads 141 and 165.
