Těšovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture and history

The Výklenková kaple Panny Marie Pasovské in Těšovice is a small religious building with preserved painted decoration. This illustrates the character and quality of folk wall painting from the second half of the 18th century. In front of the chapel stands a cross with Jesus. It was built on a raised sunken road at a former crossroads of the routes from Bavorov to Prachatice and from Netolice to Husinec; it served travellers as a place to rest and pray for a safe journey.

Hanušův mlýn was built in the 17th century and features Renaissance elements in the gable. In the first half of the 19th century, it was converted into a paper mill before being used again as a mill. The building stands on a bridge over the Blanice.

The Mauricův, Nachlingerův mlýn complex probably dates from the first half of the 19th century and documents the development of the milling trade in Bohemia. The listed mill was originally a hammer mill and has fully preserved milling equipment. Chlumany is a named site in the wider regional surroundings of Těšovice and is considered an ancient site.
