Chotoviny: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Chotoviny Castle was given its Neo-Romanesque appearance by Baron Nádherný. He laid out the castle park in the first half of the 19th century; it covers 22.5 hectares and, due to its high dendrological value, is classified as a Category I monument.
Culture
The Janecký Museum in Chotoviny displays around 80 exhibits. Its collection includes historic vehicles and motorcycles. The museum also organizes drives in selected vintage cars and offers vintage cars for rent with or without a driver. Among the most important socio-cultural events in Chotoviny are the Chotoviny Festivities, held in August.
History
The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Chotoviny was rebuilt between 1781 and 1786; its tower was added during this period. Parking is available directly next to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, in the square. The Church of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Chotoviny was completed in 1924.
The Chotoviny Stations of the Cross consist of 14 stone steles and broaden at their upper end into a chapel with a shallow niche. They are located in the forest near the Church of Saints Peter and Paul. After decades of deterioration, the Stations of the Cross were restored as part of a project by students of the Pierre de Coubertin Grammar School in Tábor, with financial support from the municipality.
