Bušanovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bušanovice is located in the Šumava foothills in the northern part of the Prachatice region. The landscape is predominantly open and comprises broad ridges, deep valleys, and valleys carved by small watercourses.

Landscape

The Černý potok flows through the municipality of Bušanovice and belongs to the Blanice river basin. Bušanovice is part of the Čkyně landscape character area, a varied and elevated landscape.

The mountains Včelenský vrch and Volovický vrch are located in the vicinity of Bušanovice. In the wider regional surroundings of Bušanovice are the mountains Libín and Boubín. Also located in this wider regional area are the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast as a ruin and Chlumany as an archaeological site.

Culture and Architectural History

The portal of the granary in Želibořice is located on the site of a former 15th-century fortress. The southwest façade of the granary features a granite saddle portal.

House No. 27 in Bušanovice features decorations by Jakub Bursa on the façade of the residence and on the gate of the farmstead; they date from 1844 and were later altered. Jakub Bursa was born in Dolní Nakvasovice on 21 July 1813. Farmstead No. 9 in Dolní Nakvasovice was rebuilt by Jakub Bursa in 1847.

The “In the Footsteps of Jakub Bursa” route passes through Bušanovice. Bursa Farmstead No. 12 in Bušanovice dates from 1852; the gable of the granary features bulbous columns. House No. 13 in Bušanovice has a preserved gable dating from 1860.
