Netolice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The approximately 3 km-long small circular trail of the educational trail route Historická krajina Netolicko leads to important cultural monuments in Netolice. Along the route, 16 stations with multilingual information boards provide information about the surrounding area.

Culture and History

At the Netolice Archaeopark, visitors can access a defensive walkway and enjoy views over the town from behind the palisade. On Svatý Ján Hill, the Přemyslid hillfort preserves the massive ramparts of the former princely administrative castle.

The Muzeum JUDr. Otakara Kudrny is located in the Renaissance building Rožmberský dům in Netolice. Sgraffiti have been preserved on the façades, and the building also features an arcade front. The museum’s collection includes more than 170,000 original historical postcards.

The Church of Saint Wenceslas is an originally Gothic building with Romanesque elements and dates from the second half of the 13th century. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was likewise built in the Gothic style in the second half of the 13th century. The historical surroundings are complemented by Kratochvíle Chateau, a Renaissance hunting lodge approximately 2 km northwest of Netolice.

Landscape and Water

West of the outskirts of Netolice, the former Rožmberk game preserve, Netolická obora, extended across the present-day administrative areas of Netolice, Lhenice, Hracholusky, and Malovice. Historically, in terms of landscape, and from a heritage conservation perspective, it was unique.

Podroužek Pond covers an area of 30 hectares and is used for swimming.

Trails and Events

The cycling route Historická krajina Netolicko runs through easy terrain on paved paths and can be divided into several shorter stages.

On Saturday, 24 May 2025, the Netolice town celebrations took place, featuring an old Bohemian craft market on the Linecká stezka from 10 a.m.
