Klimkovice Chateau is a Renaissance castle dating from the second half of the 16th century that was rebuilt after fires in 1854 and 1945. The chateau houses the Poodří Museum and the city’s information centre.
Culture and History
The second floor of Klimkovice Chateau features exhibitions on the city’s history and present day, as well as the natural conditions of the Poodří region; it also contains a memorial to the painter Helena Salichová.
The Church of the Holy Trinity is the oldest surviving historic building in Klimkovice. Following extensive renovation, the church is used as a venue for exhibitions, concerts and other social events.
The tower of the Church of St Catherine of Alexandria is 64 centimetres off its axis. Since the fire of 1854, it has been topped with a low roof because the original Renaissance spire was not rebuilt. A Baroque chapel with a 25-metre-high dome was built next to the church between 1730 and 1738.
The monument to the victims of the First World War was erected in 1925; the grounds around the monument were last modified in 2018 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. It commemorates 63 citizens of Klimkovice who died far from home on the battlefields of the First World War.
At Na Láni, the two Linden Trees of Liberated Klimkovice were planted in May 1946 to commemorate the years 1918 and 1945. The Bezruč Linden was planted there in 1958 on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the Silesian poet Petr Bezruč. Na Láni is designated as a group of commemorative trees.

Spa Treatments and Recreation
The treatment complex of the Klimkovice Sanatoria is located amid the forests of the Nízký Jeseník highlands and offers views of the Beskydy panorama. The modern Klimkovice Sanatoria were ceremonially opened in July 1994 and are now a non-state healthcare facility specialising in rehabilitation and spa treatments.
The Water Therapy Centre offers an iodine-bromine brine pool, Finnish and steam saunas with cooling pools, a whirlpool, a Kneipp course, massage showers and a relaxation room.
The spa park of the Klimkovice Sanatoria is used by patients, spa guests and the general public. It has paths for pedestrians and wheelchair users, recreation areas and facilities for shared activities.
