Discover Bellver de Cerdanya
Culture and history
Santa Maria de Talló is an 11th-century church. In 1993, it was classified as a cultural asset of national importance. Santa Maria de Talló is also considered the cathedral of Cerdanya. These three details connect the building with a medieval origin, a later national classification and a traditional designation within Cerdanya.
Sant Jaume de Bellver is a representative example of rural Gothic architecture. It is documented in records dating from the late 13th century. Inside, there is a reproduction of the 14th-century altar frontal. Thus, the church is associated with its Gothic classification and historical documentation, as well as with a specifically identified furnishing from the following century.
Sant Andreu de Baltarga was consecrated in 891. The bell tower of Santa Eugenia de Nerellà is the only fully preserved Romanesque bell tower in Cerdanya. Santa Eugenia de Nerellà also has a leaning bell tower known as the “Leaning Tower of Cerdanya”. At Santa Eugenia de Nerellà, the name and the architectural form therefore refer to the same leaning tower.
Events
The Fira d’Arts i Oficis takes place every first weekend in August. The recurring date therefore falls at the beginning of August each year and covers a full weekend.
The Fira de Sant Llorenç takes place every year on 10 August in the historic centre of Bellver de Cerdanya. The Mercat setmanal de Bellver de Cerdanya is a recurring event. Thus, the calendar in Bellver de Cerdanya includes both a fixed annual August date and its venue in the historic centre, as well as a regularly recurring weekly market.
Nature and routes
On the Senderos de la Solana route, 90% of the trail runs along paths. The percentage refers to the share of the entire route that lies on paths. In addition to its name, this route therefore has a specific proportion of its course identified as running along paths.
The “13. Arctic - Roca Foradada - Gònec” route leads to the Gònec hut in Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. Its name mentions Roca Foradada and Gònec; the Gònec hut is specified as the destination. This hut is located in Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
