Vilobí del Penedès: Vineyards, Pèlags and Culture
The Parc dels Talls in Vilobí del Penedès is home to four small lakes traditionally known as “pèlags”; its unique landscape was created by many years of mining in Vilobí del Penedès.

Culture and History
The permanent exhibition “Les memòries del guix” at the Centre de Benvinguda presents the development of the landscape of Vilobí del Penedès. The Refugi de la Guerra Civil is a ten-metre-deep, semi-underground tunnel made of brick and cement that leads to a rectangular air-raid shelter. During the Spanish Civil War, the Refugi de la Guerra Civil was part of a group of shelters in the area of the former “Camp d'aviació”. Of the three shelters that still exist, the Refugi de la Guerra Civil is the best preserved. Santa Maria de Vallformosa is an architectural complex comprising a church, bell tower, bell-ringer’s house, rectory and ancillary buildings. The Capella de Sant Pere preserves a Baroque altarpiece dedicated to Saint Andrew, as well as a collection of missals with mother-of-pearl covers. The Capella de Sant Pere has a rectangular floor plan, a straight-ended chancel, a round-arched stone portal and a small bell gable.

Experiences and Events
“A la recerca dels Vitis” begins at the entrance to the Pèlag Sec; there, visitors scan a QR code to start the adventure in the Parc dels Talls. In Vilobí del Penedès, “A la recerca dels Vitis” is a year-round adventure. Vi en Femení reached its third edition in Vilobí del Penedès in 2026 and was a cultural and enogastronomic event. The programme for Vi en Femení 2026 included the children’s workshop “Tinta i vi”, in which corks were used for recycling and creative activities. At the 3rd Mostra Enogastronòmica of Vi en Femení 2026, wineries, shops and local restaurants offered wine and regional products for tasting.
