Nature and trails
The area around Castellví de Rosanes is located in the surroundings of the Muntanyes del Baix natural area.
Els Balcons de Montserrat in Castellví de Rosanes are two tourist facilities offering views of Mount Montserrat. One Balcó de Montserrat is located at the lower end of Avinguda Mare de Déu de Montserrat, and the other in the municipal woodland.
Culture and history
Castellvell de Rosanes, also known as Castell de Sant Jaume, is a fortress at an altitude of 369 metres. In the Middle Ages, Castellvell de Rosanes was the seat of the Barony of Castellvell.
Miralles Castle was converted into the Augustinian monastery Casa de Déu de Miralles in 1414. Gothic paintings have been preserved in the Antic convent de Miralles; the Generalitat de Catalunya highlighted their importance.
Historically, the Les Fonts de Miralles area comprised four springs known by name: Ntra. Senyora de Gràcia, Sant Josep, Santa Rita de Càssia and Sant Nicolau de Tolentí.
For current planning, access to Les Fonts de Miralles should be taken into account: since February 2026, it has been temporarily closed due to a landslide.
The Les mines de plom complex was, during its operation, Catalonia's second most important lead mine. Access to Les mines de plom is prohibited because the facilities are in a ruined condition.
Culture and festivals
The Aplec dels Àngels is a recurring religious festival tradition dating back to 1958, celebrating the feast of Mare de Déu dels Àngels on 2 August.
The Festa Major de Sant Isidre takes place on the last weekend of May, and in election years on the first weekend of June.
Wine and tastings
Viticulture in Castellví de Rosanes enables wine and sparkling wine to be produced in the municipality.
If you would like to visit the Celler i Museu del Vi Ramon Canals, advance booking is required; a guided tour led by an expert is offered, followed by a tasting of its cavas and wines.
The Fira Tastets de Vi offers tastings of wines and cavas from local wineries and other parts of Catalonia, accompanied by food and music.
Geographical location
The town centre, El Taió, Miralles, the Rosanes industrial estate and the ca n'Abat industrial zone can be reached via the C-243b road between Martorell and Gelida.
