In Dosrius, the ruins of Castell de Dosrius stand on a hill in the immediate vicinity of the village at an altitude of 295 m; the earliest documents mentioning it date from 1114 and 1128.
Culture and History
The Cova Sepulcral de la Costa de Can Martorell, also known as Cova de la Vinya d'en Tit, is a collective burial site dating back more than 4,000 years to the Chalcolithic period.
The historic centre of Dosrius developed around the parish church of Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria; it has been documented since 1304 and was expanded in the 16th century. Sant Esteve de Canyamars, a subsidiary church of Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria de Dosrius in the Diocese of Barcelona, is first directly documented in 1324. Ermita de Sant Llop is a chapel built in 1740 under the patronage of Sant Llop, the co-patron saint of Dosrius.
The foundation of Santuari del Corredor is attributed to Salvi Arenes; apparently, around 1530, with the express permission of the bishop, he built a chapel on Corredor Mountain in honour of Nostra Senyora del Socors.

The traditional sardana-related Aplec de muntanya de Canyamars takes place on the second weekend of September and includes sardana dancing, invited coblas, dancing and the traditional communal dinner known as Mongetada popular.
