The Iberian settlement of Puig Castellar is located on the summit of the hill of the same name in the Parque de la Sierra de Marina.

At an altitude of 303 metres, it covers an area of just over 4,000 m².

It was inhabited from the 6th century BC until the beginning of the 2nd century BC; it belonged to the Laietani people.

History

The Museo Torre Balldovina is housed in an 11th-century defensive tower.

The tower later served as an agricultural building, a large residence and the summer residence of the family of the writer Josep Maria de Sagarra.

The Cova d'en Genís is a burial site.

It consists of a cavity between granite rocks.

The Centro Cultural Can Sisteré introduces the public to diverse forms of contemporary art.

The cultural heritage programme of Santa Coloma de Gramenet comprises three routes.

They are organised according to their location in the centre, north and south of the city.

The routes can be explored with an audio guide for visitors and tourists.

The audio guide service is free of charge.

The devices are collected and returned at the Museu Torre Balldovina.

The audio guides are available in Catalan and Spanish.

Nature

The public area of the Parque Fluvial del Besòs extends for almost 5 km through the Santa Coloma de Gramenet section.

It stretches from the B-20 bridge or Can Zam Norte to the railway bridge in Sant Adrià de Besòs.

This public area includes 5 hectares of paved paths.

Visitors can walk and cycle on these paths; on the left bank, there is a specially marked cycle path.

The park can be accessed via more than 20 entrances with accessible ramps and stairs.

The ramps and stairs lead to the paved paths.

On the left bank, the entrances from the urban areas of Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Sant Adrià de Besòs lead to the park.

The Mirador de la serralada de Marina is located on Calle Menorca in the Can Franquesa neighbourhood of Santa Coloma de Gramenet.

From there, there are views of the Vallès and the Serralada Prelitoral.
