The water at the beach is clean and shallow, making it suitable for children; there is also a children's playground directly on the beach. Water sports available include dinghy sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. In summer, boats run from the small landing stage at Cala Llonga to Santa Eulària, Es Canar and Ibiza Town.

Culture and history

La Font des Ierns is also located in the vicinity of Cala Llonga, two kilometres from the town. This traditional hydraulic heritage complex comprises a spring, a waterwheel, stone water channels and a small aqueduct.

The main day of Cala Llonga's patron saint festivals is 15 August. On this day, the Virgen de la Asunción, the town's patron saint, is celebrated. As part of the 2024 patron saint celebrations, a traditional mass was held at 6:30 p.m. in the Capilla de la Assumpció de Cala Llonga. The 2024 patron saint festivals in Cala Llonga also included a procession of floats and a traditional payés dance.

Exploring the area

A coastal route starting from Cala Llonga leads to Cap des Llibrell. An ancient Phoenician settlement is located there, connected with Ibiza's history more than 2,500 years ago.
