The material is also part of this ensemble: the stone crosses of the Calvary were made by local stonemasons from rhyolite quarried on Mount Zmina. Traces of this quarrying can still be seen near some of the Calvary chapels.

Another prominent building is the Roman Catholic Church of St. Martin in Hliník nad Hronom. It is a single-nave late Gothic cultural monument from the first half of the 14th century. The church was remodeled between 1483 and 1508 and again between 1730 and 1739. Another historic building is the Kaštieľ in Hliník nad Hronom, a Renaissance cultural monument from the second half of the 16th century.

Performing arts also have a firmly established historical connection. The amateur theatre group of Hliník nad Hronom was founded in 1931; in 1942, it also performed at the Slovak National Theatre. Millstone production was carried out in Hliník nad Hronom for more than 600 years. It can be traced back to the 12th century and is particularly connected with the trachyte found in the municipality. Another area passed down through tradition is the historic Christmas custom: on Christmas Eve, wafers were baked for most households, usually by the organist.
