The Catholic parish church of St John the Baptist has a west tower dating from 1760, a choir from 1867 and a two-aisled hall from 1909. Strohn is also home to a sandstone shaft cross from 1716 and a wayside shrine made of red sandstone dating from 1791.

Nature and Trails
The Strohner Lava Bomb is a 120-tonne basalt sphere with a diameter of just under five metres and a geological record of earlier volcanic activity in the Eifel. It was formed by the repeated accumulation of lava on a fragment of a crater rim during successive eruptions. The lava bomb was freed during blasting work at the lava quarry on Wartgesberg in 1969 and moved to its present location by residents of Strohn. It stands next to a hiking trail that follows the Alfbach stream towards Strohner Schweiz.
The Strohner Schweiz circular trail follows the deeply incised Alfbach valley with large boulders and narrow paths. It is described as a trail that, due to its few changes in elevation and manageable length, is suitable for hiking with children. Free parking is available for the circular trail at the church and by the lava bomb.
The moderately difficult HeimatSpuren Lavaweg Strohn covers 20.5 kilometres, takes around five and a half hours and includes 293 metres of elevation gain and loss. It passes Trautzberger Maar and Strohner Schweiz.
Cycling
The Vulkaneifel-Challenge road cycling route leads from Strohn via the lava bomb into Strohner Schweiz. From Strohn, it continues via Mückeln and Oberscheidweiler to the Maare-Moselle Cycle Route towards Eckfeld.
