Culture and History

The historic Flomborn town hall stands in the old village centre. It dates from 1765 and is a protected historic building. In the village centre, information boards at historic buildings point out local anecdotes; the stories presented include the Flomborner Wutz, a public sculpture by Florian Geyer associated with the historic weighing of livestock levies.

The Neolithic burial site near Flomborn is considered one of the significant archaeological sites associated with the early farming culture of Central Europe. The Protestant parish church was enlarged into its present-day hall church in 1779. It has an organ acquired in 1783 from the workshop of the Stumm brothers, which is in demand as a concert instrument following its restoration, as well as a churchyard with gravestones from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Nature and Trails

The Bird and Nature Discovery Trail covers the habitats through which its route passes, as well as the bird species found there. Flomborn is almost completely surrounded by a green belt. This includes a bird trail, a pond and walking paths used for local recreation. A wooded area designated as a protected landscape feature extends into Flomborn and forms a unit with a pond.
