From Chartrettes, Parc de Livry can be reached via the car park on Rue des Chênes in the commercial zone. The park has 8 km of paths, including a 3.5 km blue circular route. It includes woodland, uncultivated areas, bodies of water and the Seine’s riverbanks. Parc de Livry also features an ornithological observation station and an 18th-century tree-lined avenue.

Hiking
The GR2a passes through Chartrettes between the Chartrettes bridge and Fontaine-le-Port and is marked in red and white. Parc de Livry has hiking and cycling routes connecting Chartrettes and Livry. The Sentier de Barbeau overlooks the Seine through wooded terrain over a distance of around 2 km. A starting point for hikes from Chartrettes is located at the junction of Chemin de la «Voierie» and Chemin de Melun à Massoury.
Culture
The Église Saint Corneille-et-Saint-Cyprien in Chartrettes is dedicated to Saint Corneille, dates from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries, and is considered one of the oldest churches in the region. It is protected as a historic monument; it was listed on 23 November 1946.
The Espace Multiculturel de Chartrettes has an exhibition gallery and a multipurpose hall for performances and various events. The municipality regularly presents theatre, concerts and exhibitions there, approximately twice a month.
