Nature and Water
The Prairie de Glandelles is a publicly accessible Sensitive Natural Area covering several hectares on the banks of the Loing. The wetland has a wooden walkway for exploring the area while respecting its natural environment, as well as two short discovery loops of 0.5 km and 1 km. The 50-kilometre-long Canal du Loing, with its 21 locks, also runs through La Madeleine-sur-Loing. During a walk along the canal, you can enjoy views of a former watermill on the Loing.

Culture and History
The Église Sainte-Madeleine has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 28 April 1926. In the village cemetery stands a 2.8-metre-high Hosannière cross; there are only three such crosses in the Gâtinais. Its column and lectern are made from a single block of Château-Landon stone.
On the other side of the Loing lie the remains of the Chapelle de Glandelles. They have been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 18 March 1926. In the Nozent Valley there are 13 polissoirs, 12 of which have not yet been published. The local quarries supplied hard limestone that takes on a pink appearance when polished and was used for bridges, metro entrances, and monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Sacré-Cœur.
Local Life and Routes
A flea market takes place in La Madeleine-sur-Loing every year. The town is one of the municipalities named in the project to signpost the Scandibérique, which provides for directional signs and Relais-Informations-Service boards along the route. During a walk through a forest, you can see a former castle tower.
Getting There
Transilien trains run from Paris Gare de Lyon to the stations at Nemours, Bagneaux-sur-Loing, or Souppes-sur-Loing, which are named as access points for travelling to La Madeleine-sur-Loing. Bus route 11 on the southern line is also cited for travelling from Nemours station.
