Soignolles-en-Brie: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Chemin des Roses runs through Soignolles-en-Brie and is a 17-kilometre walking and leisure trail that can be used by pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists. It follows a former railway line and crosses the Yerres on a viaduct. At the same time, the trail is of botanical, scenic and historical importance and serves as an ecological corridor.
For my travel plans, I would like to rent a holiday apartment in Soignolles-en-Brie.
Nature and Trails
In Soignolles-en-Brie, the Chemin des Roses can be accessed via the car park on Rue de Solers. Another route, Les Gués sur l’Yerres, runs through Soignolles-en-Brie and Solers. It is a signposted, 8.2-kilometre, easy circular route with yellow markings; the estimated duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
On the Les Gués sur l’Yerres route, it is possible to cross the Yerres through a ford instead of over a bridge. At the Gué du Mont, the river can still be crossed on foot outside periods of flooding; the same applies to the Gué de Barneau. The Lavoir de Barneau can also be reached via the GR circular route.
History
A historic crossing over the Yerres made Soignolles-en-Brie a stopping place for travellers. The monks of Mont Saint-Sébastien, founded in the 13th century, guided travellers across the Yerres. A chapel remains from the former priory of Mont Saint-Sébastien; because it is located on private land, it cannot be visited. The Gué du Mont has been documented since the 13th century on routes between Melun and Lagny.
Culture
The Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption was built in the Middle Ages between the 12th and 13th centuries and has been listed in the supplementary inventory of Monuments historiques since 1926. It is visible from the outside but remains closed to the public. Its furnishings include seventeen Renaissance choir stalls from the Abbey of Saint-Victor in Paris; an oak door leaf from the 16th century is also protected as a historic monument.
The Château de Barneau dates from the 19th century.
