Culture
The present-day Église Saint-Étienne was built during the 13th century. It was constructed according to a basilica floor plan with a three-aisled nave. Pierre de Ronsard was the commendatory parish priest of the Église Saint-Étienne from 1552 to 1554. In addition, a Gallo-Roman villa was excavated in Mareuil-lès-Meaux in 2003.
