Culture and history

The former Forge Clément was founded in Corravillers in 1852 as a factory producing forged tools and specialised in agricultural tools such as hoes, shovels, pickaxes, rakes and mattocks. It is now closed and preserves old machines that bear witness to Corravillers' former industrial and technical heritage.

The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste was rebuilt in the last quarter of the 18th century; the bell-tower porch built in the 17th century and the choir were preserved. It combines a late Gothic choir with a Neoclassical portal and houses a listed group of statues of the Apostles from the 18th century, made of polychrome-painted and gilded wood.

The local legend associated with the Pas de la Saint Jean tells of a footprint said to have been left in a rock.
