Luçay-le-Libre: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Luçay-le-Libre preserves a diverse historic townscape: The Château du Coudray features a 15th-century manor house remodelled in the 17th century, a square entrance tower and a semicircular tower. Another 15th-century building has a main entrance and a gallery resting on five and three pillars. The façades and roofs, the gallery with arcades and the preserved fireplace have been listed as historic monuments by decree since 28 December 1978.

History and culture

The Église Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul is also one of the town's historic landmarks. It was built in the 19th century on an older building and stands on a fortified hill, whose ditches are still recognisable. A washhouse (Lavoir) is designated at the Ruisseau des Cotets; the location given for it is D28.

A particularly notable historical site is the Dolmen du Creuset on the road to Reuilly, also known as the Dolmen de la Pierre-Folle. Its capstone is 3.20 m long, 2.70 m wide and 90 cm thick. The supporting stones lie flat rather than vertically; the chamber is oriented from southwest to northeast and has an entrance in the southwest.

The Abbaye Saint-Martin de Massay, which is listed as a historic site, is located in the vicinity of Luçay-le-Libre.
