The Parc animalier de Branféré is located in the municipality of Le Guerno in the French department of Morbihan in Brittany. More than 195 animal species live at the Parc animalier et botanique de Branféré in a natural, semi-open environment within a preserved botanical garden.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste, also known as Sainte-Anne, was classified as a historic monument on 27 October 1971. Its south façade features an outdoor pulpit. The pilgrimage associated with the Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste, also known as Sainte-Anne, is believed to date back to the 12th century.

Le Calvaire has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 1925. The Fontaine Sainte-Anne was added to the same supplementary inventory in 1925. It is an elegant fountain with a capital-like structure supported by columns.

The Fontaine Sainte-Marie is a granite structure dating from 1787. It consists of three arcades and a closed wall with a niche and a statue.

Trails and Nature

The Circuit des Hospitaliers begins in the centre of Le Guerno. The 10-km circular route is of moderate difficulty and has an elevation gain of 118 m; in parts, it follows the same route as the GR 349 Rhuys-Vilaine.

La Zone des Lots is a natural area classified as a wetland. A 2-km hike leads from a car park to the heart of the natural area of La Zone des Lots, which is classified as a wetland. La Zone des Lots is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
