Nature
The Treac'h er Goured dune system comprises embryonic, white, grey and fossil dunes. Houat is home to several hundred plant species, accounting for almost one third of the flora of Morbihan. The Houat archipelago also provides breeding habitat for Manx shearwaters and European storm petrels.

Getting around
Motor vehicles are prohibited on Houat; the island is explored on foot or by bicycle. GlazGo Mobilité can transport people and luggage from Houat harbour to the village or the reception area. There is no cash machine on Île d'Houat.
