At the Cairn du Petit Mont in Arzon, several layers of history come together: the more than 6,000-year-old megalithic monument has two burial chambers with Neolithic engravings. It successively served as a burial site, a Gallo-Roman sanctuary and a strategic point during the Second World War.

History and culture

Since 2009, the Moulin de Pen Castel in Arzon has served as a cultural venue for contemporary art. At the same time, it is one of the oldest tidal mills in France. The mill is located on the GR34 and offers direct access to the Golfe du Morbihan.

The Allée couverte du Grah Niol dates back to the fifth millennium BC. It is accessible free of charge all year round; engravings are visible at the site, including a figure described as a goddess.

The Chapelle Saint Nicolas is a building representative of Breton architecture from the 16th century. Around the chapel, houses belonging to 19th-century captains can also be seen, and the lanes around the chapel contain numerous old, well-restored houses.

The Tumulus de Tumiac is 18 metres high.

Coast and maritime experiences

The Port du Crouesty is considered the largest marina in Brittany and has more than 1,432 berths along its pontoons. The port of Port-Navalo is home to five maritime transport companies offering cruises on the Golfe du Morbihan.

Le Mille Sabords du Crouesty takes place every year at the end of October as a boat show for new and used boats.

Beach and activities

Plage du Fogeo is a sandy family beach; swimming there is supervised in July and August. Parc du Fogeo includes a beach club and a sailing school, as well as a mini-golf course, tennis courts and beach volleyball courts.

The Ecole de Voile du Fogeo offers catamaran sailing, windsurfing, dinghy sailing and WingFoil. The programme also includes children's courses, private lessons and trips out to sea.

Pointe du Petit Mont is classified as an Espaces Naturels Sensibles site. Three marked hiking routes are available around the Cairn du Petit Mont.
