Bréhan: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bréhan’s religious heritage includes the Chapelle Saint-Marc: it dates from the 17th century and was extensively remodelled in 1775 by the Marquis de Grasse.

Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Marc preserves its original roof timbers and original terracotta flooring. It also houses two tomb slabs and 15th-century statues of Saint Samson, Saint Mark and Saint Adrian.

The Chapelle Saint-Yves dates from the 16th century and was rebuilt in the 19th century. It contains carved wooden panels from the 16th century with low-relief depictions of the holy apostles, which come from the gallery of the former church.

The Église Notre-Dame de Bréhan dates from the late 19th century and is designed in the Neo-Gothic style. The chapel in the northern transept is dedicated to Saint Louis; M. Maignan is named as the architect.

Nature and Activities

The Circuit de l’abbaye de Timadeuc is a walking trail that begins in Bréhan. It is considered easy, is 4.5 km long and takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. As an unusual walk, it runs along the banks of the Nantes-Brest Canal.
