Plouharnel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Plouharnel’s history is particularly evident at the Chapelle Notre-Dame des Fleurs. The chapel dates from the 16th century and has been listed as a historic monument since 15 June 1925. Its rectangular structure features a wooden vault and tracery windows in Renaissance forms or with fleur-de-lis motifs.

Culture and History

One of the notable historic sites is the Quadrilatère de Crucuno, a megalithic enclosure made up of 22 menhirs, two of which have fallen. Along the coast of Plouharnel, visitors can also explore the remains of the Batterie de Bégo and the Atlantic Wall independently or as part of a guided tour.

Spiritual Sites

The Abbaye Sainte-Anne de Kergonan was founded by Solesmes in 1897. It welcomes visitors, worshippers and retreatants in accordance with the prescribed Benedictine regulations. Services and Mass are sung there in Gregorian chant.

Nature and Trails

Plouharnel is one of the seven municipalities in the Grand Site de France Dunes Sauvages de Gâvres à Quiberon. The Voie verte of the Grand Site de France Dunes Sauvages de Gâvres à Quiberon runs through this area: it leads from the Quiberon peninsula to Erdeven, through the Bégo dunes and past the traditional village of Sainte Barbe.

Local Products

La Ferme de Roger is part of Plouharnel’s local character. The farm produces milk from Breton Pie Noir cows and makes Tome, creamy dairy products, fromage blanc, butter, yoghurt, caramel cream, caramel spread and raw milk. These products are sold at the farm and at markets.
